About

When Rebecca Brewer was in high school, she realized that being an editor of science fiction and fantasy was for her. After attending Emerson College to get her BFA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing, she moved to New York. Once there, she had publishing internships, worked at a Borders bookstore, and was an author’s assistant to Peter V. Brett, before becoming an editorial assistant at the Science Fiction Book Club. She currently works at Bloomsbury Archer.

In 2012, she started at Ace/Roc under the Berkley imprint at Penguin, where she fell in love with editing amazing books. Her list included authors such as Guy Gavriel Kay, Emma Newman, Christina Henry, S.M. Stirling, John Varley, Genevieve Cogman, and Zen Cho, among many others.
